Eric Marlon Bishop, known professionally as Jamie Foxx, is an American actor, comedian, and singer. Known for his work in both the screen and music industries, his accolades include an Academy Award, a Grammy Award, a British Academy Film Award, and a Golden Globe Award. Foxx's breakthrough was in the early 1990s as a featured player in the sketch comedy show In Living Color (1991–1994). Following this success, he co-created, produced and starred in his own titular sitcom, The Jamie Foxx Show (1996–2001).
