Mung Chiang is a Chinese-American electrical engineer and academic administrator who served as the 13th president of Purdue University since January 2023. He is the youngest president of a top-50 American university in recent history, taking office at age 45. On May 18th, 2026, he was announced as president of Northwestern University.
